PEG-MGF

Overview
PEG-MGF is a pegylated MGF derivative intended to preserve or extend the activity window of native MGF-like signaling. The design rationale (PEGylation as a half-life-extension strategy) is scientifically reasonable, but that does not mean PEG-MGF itself has a validated human pharmacokinetic or therapeutic profile.
Mechanism
The claimed mechanism is essentially "MGF, but longer acting." Pegylation may reduce rapid clearance and proteolytic loss, extending tissue exposure relative to a very short-lived native-growth-factor signal. Publicly retrievable evidence is thin and mostly indirect. Anti-doping researchers have identified performance-enhancing MGF derivatives in the wild, and FDA states it has not identified human exposure data for compounded PEG-MGF drug products — sharply limiting confidence in both claimed benefits and risk estimates.
