Thymalin is a polypeptide extract from calf thymus tissue marketed in Russia and Belarus as an immunostimulant. It is a peptide complex rather than a single defined short peptide; not FDA or EMA approved.

Mechanism

Regional monographs describe Thymalin as regulating the number and ratio of T and B lymphocytes and their subpopulations, stimulating cellular immune reactions, enhancing phagocytosis, and supporting regeneration and hematopoiesis when these are suppressed.
