Vilon
Immune Modulationaka KE dipeptide · Lys-Glu · Khavinson thymic dipeptide
Overview
Vilon is a synthetic Lys-Glu thymic dipeptide from the Russian peptide-bioregulator literature, the same tradition that produced Thymalin and related compounds. The evidence base is much less standardized and less internationally regulated than for approved endocrine peptides.
Mechanism
Available mechanistic sources describe proposed chromatin and gene-regulatory effects, including age-related heterochromatin reactivation, selective interaction with specific DNA sequences, and immunomodulatory activity in thymic-cell systems — increased CD5 expression and T-helper differentiation signals. Reports document use in postoperative purulent-complication prevention and supportive care for burns or open skin wounds in older regional clinical-use material.
